Jimmy Stewart joined the Army Air Force in March, 1941. On Pearl Harbor Day, he was walking guard at Moffet Field as a private. He went on the fly every bomber. Then he went to England and flew 25 combat missions over Nazi Europe as a B-24 pilot and commander. After the war, he finally became a "cowboy" in the movies.

It is becoming increasily apparent that many persons in the Federal Government and Congress want war. It enables them to escape the worsening ecomony and gives them more "emergency" power and spending power. Our only positive is that we are old and won't live much longer.
