I emailed Waynne to see how she's doing and got this response a couple of days ago: Helene was a nothing for me. Milton looks like it will be bad. How bad it will be will be determined whether it goes a little north (which will be very bad for the Tampa area) or whether it goes just a little south (which will be bad for Sarasota but better for Tampa). And that’s only about 55 miles apart. Thanks for your wishes. I will decide tomorrow morning which direction to evacuate. Again, thanks. Waynne.

Turns out Waynne Blue James went south to her daughter's in Key Largo. Her place in Tampa only had lots of limbs and debris but minor damage. Glad to hear and feel heartsick for the folks who had it much worse. The bad news is that this won't be the last time disaster strikes Florida and environs.
