Comments:

After graduation I attended Business college to become (what was known then) as a Keypunch Operator. Evetually it evolved into Data Entry. I married my first husband in 1967 and had one son, Corey. I remarried in 1984 to Michael and became a Cowboy's wife. As most cowboys today, they need to work a city job too, as he does. He will retire in two years. I have survived a brain tumor and am all the more thankful for it. The only thing we can say for certain is that my Mom is still living and both Michael's parents. We are here for them, in what ever capacity that may be. Family is very important to us. Our son, grand kids and great grand kids are all sooooooooooo special. I have also managed to fit in genealogy along the way. Tracing my family tree has allowed me to get to know family that lived as far back as 943, and as current as finding out all sorts of new facts about my parents and grand parents. At this point in my life I am super content. I'm looking forward to sitting on the front porch with my husband doing absolutely nothing, and enjoying every single moment of it.

School Story:

Frankly, there are a few things from high school I would just as soon forget. But also a lot of good friendships were made. Some of the friendships started in grade school and has lasted until today. Some time I get to comparing my high school days with my grand kids. What a difference. The one ways halls, in my day were sometime thought of as stupid, at least by me. I believe the directors of traffic were called the Knights of Cutless, or something like that. They always managed to keep the students going in the right direction, thus no confussion. Well what I thought idiotic then has come full circle to the halls of todays schools. Utter chaos reighns. They are going every which way. The kids today, (so unlike my high school days) carry too much weight in their back packs to be healthy. My grand kids assure me that they do have lockers, although I'm not knowing why. I have told them the stories of "No back pack days", when you, in a most orderly manner traveled the one ways halls to your locker to dispose morning books and pick up afternoon ones. Even sometimes meeting "your locker partner" in the process. All of it seems rather silly to them. I guess I have become my grand mother, I like the way it use to be. Long live One Way Halls, Locker Partners and Pee Chees.
