Dean and I were good friends from kindergarten on and had many, many good time's together. When we were younger we would play "pilots" in the mockup he and his brother Gary and stepdad Sherm had built in the back yard. We had many campouts in the back yard as well and would wander the neighborhood seeing what kind of mischief we could get into long after we were supposed to be asleep in the tent. Dean was always one to take a dare and one night, we dared him to streak up to the Masonic Temple and back and by golly if he didn't go ahead and accept the challenge with a bunch of his buddies following along and laughing maniacally. Dean was probaly laughing loudest! One of our favorite nicknames for him after that was "Nudean" and he was just fine with it. We had several semi famous "beauty shop" parties in the salon his mom had in the basement with probably 10 or 12 of us juvenile delinquents drinking beer and playing tricks on those that may have had 1 too many beers and not paying attention or having had the misfortune of falling asleep. Nothing too mean. Good memories of old friends. I'll try to put a few thoughts down about my good buddy Dean at a later date.
