Glenn Ross Phillips

Beloved son of Mrs Rollis H, Hillmon.  Stepson of Rollis H. Hillmon, brother of John Phillips, Jackie Hillmon, Mrs Dove Furrenes, all of Kent.  Grandson of Robert J. Anderson, Burien, Mr & Mrs R.C. Phillips, Pacatallo, ID.  Rosary Monday 7:30 PM, St. Anthony Church, Kent.  Requiem Mass, Tuesday 9:00 AM St Anthony.

 

Rosary for Glenn Ross Phillips, 20, a Navy hospitalman will be said at 7:30 o'clock tomarrow evening at St Anthony's Church, Kent.  Mr Phillips, who was killed by a mine last Sunday near Da Nang, Viet-Nam, had gone to Viet-Nam in March.  Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mr and Mrs Rollis H. Hillmon, 26929 37th Av. S., Kent.

Died September 11, 1966, while attached to H&S CO, 1st BN, 9th Marines, 3rd MAEDIV, III MAF.  In Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam.  Ground casualty, hostile, explosive device.

Pat Nordyke (Johanson)

Ross died in Veitnam in 1966, He was a hospital corpman attached to a Marine division, and was killed by a mine. We went through basic training together along with Bruce Houston. They were both greaqt friends and are missed.

Linda Pompeo (Worden)

A super person lost to war way before his time. It grieves me that so many were lost in this way, whether from being in the midst of fighting or from PTS when returning home. I honor you for your service Ross, but am sorrowful that your life was lost.
