 Linda Diane Holman Obituary

Linda Diane Holman (nee Crogg) died suddenly July 16, 2014 at her home in Burien with her loyal and faithful dog "Missy" at her side. Born October 27, 1945 to Frieda and Arthur Crogg of Cadott, Wisconsin. Although plagued with health issues over the past several years, she had the good fortune to live at home with her friend and caretaker Jackie (Swanson) with whom much gratitude is given.Linda was a 'bright spark' when it came to her approach to life, with a booming laugh that could fill the room. For much of her life growing up in Burien, she had a passion for horses/horse-back riding, especially her horse "Starbuck" from which life long friendships were formed with the other riders. She enjoyed many trips on the back of the Harley motorcycle with her husband Phil. She delighted in any and all family gatherings; as we looked forward to her annual Easter-egg hunts with the Grandkids, as well as countless hours of playing cards, and endless games of Farkle. Frequent trips to the casino was enjoyed with her very close friends, and in later years, continued to play many of these games on her computer, especially MahJong.Linda retired from Pacific Medical Center where she worked in the collection dept. She never met a stranger .... "a stranger is just a friend I haven't met yet". She was good to all; often taking in those that needed shelter, a meal, or friendship. And although she didn't have children by birth.... we became daughter to her almost instantly. It was a gift that she was able to remain at home and close to those who loved her. She will be greatly missed. Heaven surely will be gaining and angel, and now joins Phil, forever together. She leaves behind 'daughters' Geri Soderling (Kurt and Karly), Beth Lynch (Joe, Randy and Cameron), Mary Van Denende (Alex and Rebecca) brother Larry Crogg and sister-in-law, Michelle (Scott and Sheri) of Mission Viejo, CA Per Linda's request, there will not be a memorial service... Her ashes, along with husbands' Phil, will be scattered at their favorite spot in Port Angeles in late summer.

The write-up of Linda's life is one of a life well lived.  May her example of kindness and graciousness live in the hearts of those she left behind.
