Highline High School
Class Of 1964
Welcome to the Highline High School
Class of 1964 Web Site!
Thanks to those of you who responded to the survey about the 50th reunion coming up next year. The voting was a tie between The Normandy Cove and The Doubletree at Southcenter
In spite of a lot of things to like about the Cove there is a lot of extra work required for this choice such as set up because we only get bare tables and chairs. Someone would have to manage caterers or potluck, manage beverages, and get a banquet permit. Then there is clean up and tear down. How about finding a lot "A" owner in Normandy Park who is willing to put their name on the line to be responsible for our group in order to rent The Cove.
So here is my opinion. I have The Doubletree at Southcenter tentatively reserved for Saturday September 27th, 2014. The food is provided, tables are all set up with tablecloths and place settings (purple and gold), bartenders available, they tear down and clean up. It is easy to find and lots of free parking. Discounted rooms available for those from out of town. We can still do it for a total cost of $50.00 per person.
We can still work on ideas to reduce costs. I just found out that 4 well to do classmates from the 50th reunion of the class of 1962 at Glacier High School funded the whole reunion.
I would like to thank our fellow classmate Bill Hamilton for all the work he does on keeping our class data base up to date.
There is one more thing I would like help on finding is a reliable company or group to record our reunion celebration in pictures and video.
